Credit / Debit Card Payments

Pay Many City of Midland Bills by Credit or Debit Card

The City of Midland Treasurer’s Office accepts select credit and debit cards for some City bills.

Since 2007, citizens have been able to pay their City of Midland water bills online using VISA or MasterCard, or debit cards with the VISA or MasterCard logo on them. Now, citizens can use these cards to make payments at the Treasurer’s Office - located at Midland City Hall - for a variety of City services and items, such as these:

  • Accounts receivable invoices
  • Contractor registrations
  • Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) fees
  • Handbill distributor licenses
  • Household refuse bins
  • MCTV Network user fees
  • Midland Municipal Cemetery fees
  • Parking tickets
  • Permits
    • Building
    • Electrical
    • Engineering
    • Mechanical
    • Plumbing
  • Rental inspections
  • Water bills
  • Water connections
  • Yard waste bins and annual renewal fees

Other Bills

Due to the potentially high costs to conduct transactions, the City is unable to accept credit or debit cards for property tax payments. Call 989-837-3315 or stop by the Treasurer's Office to find out what other payments may be made with select credit or debit cards.

Auto-Pay Automatic Funds Withdrawal

Citizens may opt to pay their taxes electronically through the City’s Auto-Pay Automatic Funds Withdrawal Program. This free service allows property owners to have funds automatically withdrawn from their checking or savings bank account on the date that taxes are due. An Auto-Pay Enrollment Form (PDF) may be downloaded online, or you may stop by the Treasurer’s Office for a program enrollment form.

This same service is offered to City water and sewer customers through the Utilities Division. Bills are paid quarterly according to the City’s billing cycle. Find out more about paying water and sewer bills via the Auto-Pay program.
