Picnic Shelters

Emerson Park houses 3 picnic shelters, shelters C, D and E and 5 picnic areas (1-5) for reservation. Each shelter is within walking distance of restrooms. Click on the button below to view availability and to make a reservation.

Beach Volleyball

A lighted sand volleyball court is available for public use on the south end of the park. The beach volleyball court is operated by a self-serve light timer, operated by the user, for extended night use. Detailed instructions can be found on-site.

Horseshoe Pits & Shuffleboard Courts

Visitors will also find horseshoe pits along with shuffleboard courts which are available on a first come, first serve basis (patrons must use their own equipment). There is a Horseshoe Club that meets weekly in the summer months. Contact Parks and Recreation for the club contact.

Softball Diamonds

Emerson Park has three softball fields; Diamond 1 (250 feet) (Currie Stadium), Diamond 2 (280 feet), and Diamond 3 (280 feet).

Inline Hockey

Emerson Park features a regulation-size hockey rink with a smooth concrete surface that allows for inline skating in the summer months while accommodating ice for ice skating in the winter months. Bring your own hockey gear; nets are provided. Use is based on a first come first served basis, it may not be reserved. This facility is open year round during normal park hours. The hockey rink is operated by a self-serve light timer, operated by the user, for extended night use. Detailed instructions can be found on-site. Visit our Rainout Line for ice conditions.
