Located west of the confluence of the Tittabawassee and Chippewa Rivers at the end of Ashman Street.
Chippewassee Park is a 35-acre recreational area that has something for all seasons. During warm weather, the park is one of the most popular in the city. It has a large picnic shelter that is available for rental. Picnic tables and grills are provided for use. The park has a mega-tower and play equipment appropriate for children of all ages, huge open fields and paved trails. It also features a paved 1000' loop of trail within the park for walking, jogging, and biking.
During the winter months, its size makes it a great place for cross country skiing.
Midland Dog Park
The dog park is fenced-in, and has a combination of wooded and open areas where dogs can run free. A water source (during the warm weather months) and various agility courses are provided to make your pet’s romps more enjoyable. A separate area in the dog park is earmarked for smaller dogs and a gravel parking area has been added near the park for dog owners’ vehicles. Waste bags are provided for use at the park. Trails are compacted in the snow to allow easier walking for dog owners in the winter. Please note that dog owners must be in control of their pets, and must clean up waste from their dogs. The park is open from 8 a.m. until dusk.
