Appreciation of Beautification Awards

This awards program recognizes both business and residential properties within the City of Midland for landscaping and structural site improvements that are readily visible to the public. Committee members divide the city into 9 zones and are responsible for nominating beautiful properties in these zones. Properties must (1) be in the City of Midland, (2) can’t have won this award in the last 5 years, (3) can not be FOR SALE during the nomination process.There are 3 levels of awards: (1) Landscaping or Structural Site Improvement (SSI) (2) Special Recognition; this award is for a person or property that goes above and beyond the traditional award but might not qualify for the BRT Civic Commitment Award and (3) the Bette R. Tollar Civic Commitment Award. The Bette R. Tollar Civic Commitment Award recognizes major beautification accomplishments that benefit the community as a whole.
