|Posting Date||Collection Update|
|October 21, 2016||Beginning October 24, City crews will begin testing leaf collection equipment in anticipation of the start of our formal curbside leaf collection program. At this time, residents may rake leaves into the street. Remember to leave a one foot gutter space between the leaf pile and the curb.
Once we have experienced a significant leaf fall, we will announce the start of the first round of the fall curbside leaf collection.
FALL FREE will begin October 3rd and will continue through the remainder of the yard waste collection season. During this free period, 40-cent per bag stickers and the annual yard waste bin stickers are not required.
Residents may rake leaves to the street until final curbside collection has been complete in their area for the season. Remember to leave at least one foot of clear gutter space between leaf pile and the curb. This allows water to get to the catch basin and will allow a more thorough collection by crews. Raking leaves to the street sooner will not start bulk curbside collection earlier. Curbside collection of leaves will begin after significant leaf fall has occurred city-wide, which is typically late October. For the safety of our crews, avoid putting brush, such as sticks in your leaf piles.
